PRE-REQUISITES: Minimum 1yr trapeze experience (or related aerial), a pullover and hip balance, and the ability to hang from a single knee under the bar.

TRAPEZE

EXPLORING THE ROPES!

ROLLING UP, CROSSES AND ROPE CHOREO 

In this workshop students will learn ways to wind the ropes around their bodies, create crosses and transition between shapes up in the lines.  Many of the sequences were inspired by classic silks combos, so this is also a great workshop for silks students looking to explore trapeze. 

This workshop is for experienced beginners or higher.  It is available as Level One where the sequences do not involve inverting in the ropes, or as a Level Two workshop with more challenging inverted sequences. 

LENGTH:  2 hours 
MAX CAPACITY: 8 students

PRE-REQUISITES:
LEVEL ONE: Basic knowledge of beginner level tricks on trapeze and at least 6 months experience training on a bar apparatus. Comfortable standing on the bar, and crocheting or flagging the legs from a standing position.
LEVEL TWO: Inversion in the ropes/cables, the ability to crochet or flag one or both legs in the ropes, and a few pullups or a strong chin-up hold is recommended to ensure the necessary grip strength is available.

In this workshop students will learn combinations that require smooth continuous movement as they snake, wind and roll around the trapeze. Using familiar tricks, learn to sew them together with new and interesting transitions.

This workshop is for experienced beginners or higher.  This workshop is available as Level 1 where the sequences do not involve inverting in the ropes, or as a Level 2 workshop with more challenging inverted sequences.

LEARN TO COACH + SPOT SAFELY AND WITH CONFIDENCE

One day and two day course are available for experienced students looking to transition into coaching, or for existing coaches who want to sharpen their skills and spotting technique.  Single day courses can explore specific skills and spotting techniques, where the two day course covers a broader set of skills.

These trainings can be offered for Trapeze, Hoop,  Aerial Silks or a combination.

LENGTH: Full Day course (6 hours) or 2-Day course (12 hours)
MAX CAPACITY: 8 students

PRE-REQUISITES:
Students should be at an intermediate to advanced level on the apparatus of choice, with a minimum of 2 years of training in aerial arts.

HOOP

ROLLS, CIRCLES & DROPS

DYNAMIC MOVEMENT ON THE HOOP

Bring some dynamic movement to your hoop repertoire.  In this workshop students will learn basic principles that will unlock skills such as the monkeyroll, hip circle and mill circle (pinwheel).  Also covered will be basic release moves that can add some excitement to your routine.

This workshop is for Intermediate  students with at least one year of circus arts instruction on a bar apparatus. 

LENGTH: 2 hours
MAX CAPACITY: 8 students

PREREQUISITES:
Strong double kneehang and double armhang under the bar, able to perform a pullover, and hold a 10 second hip balance.  

SPANISH WEB

AROUND WE GO!

LEARN TO FLY HIGH ON THE SPANISH WEB

Students will get the chance to climb and be spun while high in the air.  Spanish web allows the performer to be locked in using a hand loop, and spun around in circles while creating beautiful shapes.

This workshop will also teach the basics of spinning the web from the ground. This makes it the perfect partner workshop for circus friends! 

LENGTH: 2 hours 
MAX CAPACITY: 8 students

PRE-REQUISITES: Basic climb on rope or silks. Confidence hanging from the silks or a bar by both hands for 20+ seconds.  Basic silks skills like a foot lock and a hip key are beneficial. 

SILKS

PUTTING TOGETHER THE PUZZLE PIECES

CREATE UNIQUE SEQUENCES USING BASIC SILKS SKILLS

Students will learn how some of their more basic skills and tricks can combine to create exciting choreography and unique sequences and drops.

This workshop is for Intermediate  students with at least one year of circus arts instruction on aerial silks or rope. 

LENGTH: 2 hours
MAX CAPACITY: 8 students

PRE-REQUISITES: Hip Key / Scissor in the air, clean triple leg wrap, s-lock, and strong pullup position.
